Our afternoon stops will be along Desert View Drive where numerous locations offer a bounty of images and views.
Our day ends near Desert View or where ever the conditions of that day are favorable for the best possible sunset composition of the Grand Canyon. The Desert View Watchtower in itself is great photo subject. Depending on the light, we will stay out after sunset as that is when spectacular skies can occur!

Weather at the Grand Canyon can vary greatly by the minute and by the location within the Canyon. We want SAFE TOURS and will never put clients in position of danger. High winds exist, especially during spring but can be present throughout the year. We conduct our tours during this weather. Fog comes and goes at the canyon and can make for some of the most creative images. Lightning storms need to be treated with caution. They produce incredible opportunities for beautiful images but also opportunities for injury. We treat them with utmost caution and keep clients in our van if storms are near by.
Cancellation of tours is exceptionally rare but may happen - if determined by Canyon Country Tours that this is the case, we will either reschedule or refund in full.
*What to Wear & Special Needs*
Any "Special Needs" should be noted at the time of your reservation. This includes medical as well as dietary. The most strenuous thing of our day will be getting in and out of our vehicle as we will not be doing any climbing or trails.
Again, weather changes can occur rapidly. Layer clothing and wear a hat. A jacket or sweatshirt should be brought as evenings can get into the 30 degree range even in summer. Sunscreen should always be worn and moisture wicking clothing is recommended. Bring chapstick. Although we will do all that is possible to help, it is your responsibility to check the weather and to bring what you will need. Comfortable shoes should be worn, with an emphasis on support. Although we don't go on trails, there can be uneven ground and rocky terrain in some locations. Please plan for this.
